Nantes trio, The Camel Crew shares new track 'Slow Me Down'.

Heavily inspired by British rock from the 60s & the revival wave at the 90s, with bands such as Arctic Monkeys, and The Libertines, and growing up at the revival of the new rock movement in NY led by The Strokes, and more recently by The Lemon Twigs, the Nantes based trio, The Camel Crew offers a raw and simple rock, but always in search of a fine and catchy melody.
“Slow Me Down” is the second track the band is releasing after “Free”, which came out in September 2024.
"We are excited to release this track as it means a lot to us. It’s one of the first songs we rehearsed together as a trio, and it’s also one of the first songs where we felt our desire to play together.
This was confirmed in the studio where we could incorporate all our influences.
You can hear our Indie-Britrock inspiration, if you will, but also a strong soul and groove element present in the bass, vocals, and drums. It’s a track that truly brings us together."
The band says.
Formed in 2023, their style is firmly rooted in the indie rock/Brit rock genre but with a raw sound. Based in Nantes, France the band is formed by the cousins Kilian and Shaun (bass and vocals), and Titouan (drums).
The cousins moved to Nantes from the East of France in 2020, their compositions are heavily inspired by English rock bands such as Wet Leg, Sports Team, and North American bands such as The Lemon Twigs. They started doing covers, then moved on to their own songs with Shaun's compositions.
"Our idea of sharing our passion for music began with each other's music, and then we decided to form The Camel Crew!
After several drummers, we found Titouan in 2023, who joined us and helped us establish our project! Our music initially started as a duo with strong English influences (my father was a record dealer in Nantes), and Shaun with his compositions also leaning towards soul and R’n’B.
Then Titouan helped us structure our influences and brought his technical and inventive touch to our tracks."
