Essex based four-piece She's In Parties release new single Cherish, via-Something.

Following on from their recent BBC 6Music playlisted single ‘I Follow You’, hyped new Essex based four-piece She’s In Parties share their third single ‘Cherish’ out now via Something. ‘Cherish’ is the band’s most upbeat, optimistic and ambitious song to date. The driving guitars, soaring vocal harmonies amount to an invigorating and anthemic track that they hope will inspire you to shout and dance.

Speaking about ‘Cherish’, frontperson Katie Dillon explains

“at the time ‘Cherish’ was written I was going through some weird times in my relationship, I was never good at communicating my feelings and so things would just build up, at the same time though, neither was he. We were young going into it, not that it was a bad thing, but we were growing up together and learning so much about ourselves and each other.

What I write in this song mainly suggests to myself, at the time, to cherish the love that we have for each other because ultimately there was too much love and memories and history there to just let it

all go.

I hope people will feel uplifted when listening to this song. Cherish the love always because someday that person might go away".

She’s In Parties is led by 20-year-old Irish-born frontperson Katie Dillon (vocals/guitar), alongside her friends Herbie Wiseman (guitar), Matt Carman (drums), and Charlie Johnson (bass). Revealed first by their name, which is taken from the title of a Bauhaus song, the band are connected via their shared love of 80s and 90s shoegaze and alternative scenes. Where luminaries like the Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, and the Cranberries are obvious touchpoints - Katie also cites Wolf Alice, Paramore and Hayley Williams' newer solo releases as her contemporary songwriting heroes. Dublin-born, Katie emigrated to Essex in her early teens, yet the 20-year-old maintains a clear affinity with Ireland’s burgeoning scene, admiring bands like NewDad and Just Mustard.

She’s In Parties have been rapidly building momentum to become a serious one-to-watch band for 2023. Live wise they have been playing to packed out rooms across the country, including festival shows at Live at Leeds and Tenement Trail, as well as playing support tours with The Lathums and Oscar Lang. The band have also been announced to play at The Great Escape First Fifty showcase on the 15th of November at London’s Moth Club - tickets available from here. Further live dates are expected to be announced soon.
