Rosehip Teahouse

Bedroom-pop experts Rosehip Teahouse share sprawling new cut 'A Million Times' via American, Austin-based label Big Indie Records.

Rosehip Teahouse share sprawling new cut ‘A Million Times’, via Big Indie Records (Childcare, Eliza Shaddad, Weird Milk). Effortlessly dreamy yet captivating in equal measure, the band’s latest effort showcases the vivid songwriting capabilities and soothing, tender vocals of creative mastermind Faye Rogers, and marks the second offering from their ‘Fine’ EP set for release December 9th.

Breaking out from a bustling Cardiff scene that’s already produced fellow indie risers Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, the Welsh newcomers have attracted substantial support from key industry gatekeepers and hit the BBC Radio 1 airwaves (Huw Stephens), and with further material imminent, momentum is likely to intensify. Speaking ahead of the release, Rogers revealed:

“‘A Million Times’ is a lot of my anxiety manifesting in a song. I was finding that I would try and mould myself into what I thought everyone else wanted from me, not realising that I was losing more and more of myself in the process.

And even then, what I thought people wanted from me was usually wrong. So it was all a bit of a mess, hiding my feelings, feeling like I was ‘too much’ for anyone else in my life. It was hard to break out of the cycle, but I’m finding it easier to be myself now.

‘A Million Times’ is a little reminder to myself that I don’t need to be that way anymore”.

Produced by Thomas Rees (Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard), Rosehip Teahouse’s ‘A Million Times’ is out now via Big Indie Records and will be available on all digital platforms. Rosehip Teahouse is Faye Rogers (lead vocals, guitar), Tony Williams (lead guitar), Josh Dickins (bass), Will Dickins (drums), Alice Low (synth, vocals).
