Share a live performance of the unreleased track, "Madness". New album Madness out this Friday, June 3

via Memphis Industries!

Following earlier tracks that scored support from multiple publications,, Poliça is today sharing a live performance of an unreleased track titled "Madness" which is lifted from their forthcoming album of the same name, out this Friday, June 3 through Memphis Industries.

The Minneapolis-based project of singer, Channy Leaneagh, producer, Ryan Olson, bassist, Chris Bierden and drummers, Ben Ivascu and Drew Christopherson performed the track in session at the Mabel Tainter Theatre in Menomonie, WI. It's the first in a string of live performances set to be released by Poliça of songs lifted from their new album.

Speaking about the recording of the "Madness" live session, Channy of the band says:

"The Mabel Tainter Theatre has been a nice place over the pandemic for Poliça to play music and try out new material to a haunted theatre with an invisible audience. We wanted to bring these new songs to you in the mood of quiet solitude from which they were written and hope they bring you respite from all the over-stimulating nature of most things these days. With love, Poliça."

Recorded mostly from 2020-2021 in Ryan Olson’s Minneapolis studio with lyrics written and recorded by Channy Leaneagh, Madness is an experimental expansion of the 4 piece family band of Chris Bierden (bass), Drew Christopherson and Ben Ivascu (drums) to include the anthropomorphic production tool “AllOvers(c)”, designed by Olson and fellow producer & sound-artist Seth Rosetter. Madness continues within the collaborative enclave in which Poliça resides and includes co-production by Dustin Zahn, Alex Ridha and Alex Nutter. The lyrics and startling artwork for Madness are summed up by Channy as follows: “I am here for you all and I am never truly myself here. I am her for you all and I am never truly her”.
