Today, Leeds-based collective HONESTY release their debut EP, WHERE R U, via Partisan, which is completed by the new tracks “SEAMS”, and the original version of "MR. SPEAKER" featuring Rarelyalways, following the release of the Hagop Tchaparian remix of the track last month.

The five track EP surveys the unconventional depths of contemporary electronic music, UK bass, garage, shoegaze, ambient and everything in between.

Speaking of the new track “SEAMS”, HONESTY said:

“The lyrics for SEAMS are somewhat of a dreamscape admitting to a relationship's lost connections. It’s the uncertain mindset of a love affair in turmoil.

We wanted the listener to question the meaning of this and dream up their own scenarios.”

The EP also includes the previously released double A-side singles “U&I” and “TUNE IN TUNE OUT”, their most recent single “NIGHTWORLD”.

The music of HONESTY emerged unexpectedly, instinctually, almost unconsciously out of weekly gatherings at a studio space called Nave, in the collective’s native Leeds. It’s in this creative cauldron where the core members: George Mitchell, Matt Peel, Josh Lewis and Imi Holmes worked with a revolving cast of collaborators.

This egoless approach results in songs that mirror the communal bond of passing the aux cord at a party, or diving into a well curated, diverse playlist.

HONESTY have also embarked on their first-ever public live performances, with dates taking place this week in Leeds (Brudenell Social Club - 23 Nov) and Manchester (Mood Swings at YES - 25 Nov).

The group will also performing at Simple Things Festival in Bristol next February and at SXSW in March. Live dates are listed below.
