London alt-rock quartet Honest Work, announce new EP 'Another Broken Glass' & share new single 'The Final Prose'. Shows with Westside Cowboy, Grandma's House, Martial Arts announced.
"It’s not much, but it’s Honest Work", started as an off-the-cuff slogan, but listen to the new single from London alt-rock quartet Honest Work and you’ll know it now carries a different weight. ‘The Final Prose’ hits hard, and hits straight down the line. Gnarled, gritty, and loaded up fat with churning drums and heavy-duty rock riffs, the track simmers and builds with brash energy, triumphant choruses and a spiky emotional edge raging beneath the surface.
Recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios by Xavier Sinden (Punchlove, silt.) straight to a vintage 70s tape machine, the track is the second to be taken from forthcoming debut EP ‘Another Broken Glass’, due for release 23rd September, and marked by a series of headline shows across the UK this autumn.
Speaking more about the track, the band say
"The Final Prose is about affirmation feeling out of reach, and feeling the frustration of that. We are a live band and this song really reflects that, so being able to record all together in one go to tape kept that energy and helped translate the unfiltered emotion to the record”
Following up last November’s debut single ‘Horses for Meat’, the band return off the back of widespread tastemaker support from International media outlets, as well as early radio backing from Matt Wilkinson (Apple Music).
Firmly established within the capital’s grassroots scene (the band also feat. members of Saloon Dion and Lemondaze), Honest Work continue to build live momentum with festival slots under their belt at Left of The Dial, East London Block Party and Outer Town, as well support slots for the likes of Westside Cowboy, Home Counties, Martial Arts, FEET, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard and Grandma's House.
