The Healing Power of Horses
The band return with news of a second EP, "8725", to land December 2nd & share with it a new single, the euphoric and restless "xstick_xstick".
East Anglian duo The Healing Power of Horses defy easy categorisation, but that's how they like it.Earlier this year the band signed to section1 (RIP Magic, Blonde Redhead, King Princess), the Los-Angeles based sister label to Partisan Records, and began kicking up dust from the sheltered safety of their East Anglian attic home.
Their beguiling first single “i wait, i sink” was a debut that would go on to make, Emily Pilbeam's Track Of The Week on BBC 6 Music's Introducing Mixtape and see further support from the likes of International media outlets. Its intermittently beautiful, fractured follow-up "In Yr Right Hand Reveal Heaven" saw similar acclaim and the band named Breaking Artist at BBC 6 New Music.
When the full EP "Summer Indoors (or outside wearing black)" landed in the middle of the unrelenting June heatwave, any pre-conceptions about the duo were surely confirmed: a preternatural and special new talent had arrived.

The band, t & c, had the following to say about their upcoming release:
"Number 8725 is "Ithpeal" or "Imperfect" in the Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew & English Bible Lexicon and it is also the amount of songs we have left on a Samsung T5 1GB Portable SSD. This time we spent summer outdoors, but not in the way you think.
Time is so short, Autumn has drawn in and we're beside ourselves with laughter. These songs are an angel gift to you the listener. Won't someone buy us a Tiffany lamp?"
Standout shows this year include the band's support of RIP Magic for their label's 5th birthday and an acclaimed performance at Left Of The Dial in Rotterdam just last month. The band will return to mainland Europe to perform at Pitchfork Avant Garde in Paris.
Last week the group were also announced alongside Swervedriver as the support acts for shoegaze luminaries Ride on their UK tour in February next year.
