Sex Mask share new single “Blisters” ft. Noah Learmonth of Radio Free Alice. New EP “Body Broker” out 26th Nov, & EU/UK tour with Radio Free Alice now underway.

Today, Melbourne-based post-punk upstarts Sex Mask have shared a ruminative new single titled “Blisters”.
The track features a guest contribution from Noah Learmonth of fast-rising hometown friends Radio Free Alice, who the band are currently on tour with and is the second track to come from their recently announced EP "Body Broker" out 26th November.
Recently championed as “Australia's next big export” by NME, the self-contained writing/production unit – comprised of Vicente Moncada on drums/production, Wry Gray on vocals and lyrics, and Kaya Martin on guitars and synths – have only released a handful of singles to date but have amassed a devout following and widespread acclaim in the process with significant early press internationally, and early tracks such as “TV Movie” banking just shy of 1.5M streams on Spotify.
Their latest single “Cold”, released last month, saw the band continue this ascent with likes of international media outlets, praising their exhilarating and immediate blend of early 80s industrial, no-wave and absurdist punk influences.
The new single “Blisters” sees Sex Mask expand further on their multi-faceted and captivating sonic template, with wistful, warm guitars which swell and break as Gray and Learmonth’s pensive vocals dance around each other. At once both measured and direct, the dynamic new offering is just as beguiling as the passionate shout-a-long choruses and explosive instrumentation found elsewhere on “Body Broker”.
Speaking on the track Gray said,
“Blisters was actually one of the earliest songs we wrote for Sex Mask so it’s cool that it’s finally seeing the light of day.
We recorded it with Darren Seltmann at his studio on Sydney’s northern beaches and I feel like the sense of place really comes through.
The imminent threat of boulders and small boat ride to the studio set a unique precedent to its making. Working with Noah was also a great opportunity to embellish the melodic qualities”
Sex Mask’s gripping live show has already seen them support the likes of Fcukers, Big Special, and Fat White Family, as well as appearing at Dot To Dot, The Great Escape, SXSW Australia and completing a packed-out EU/UK co-headline tour earlier this year.
This month’s tour has already seen the band play to some of their biggest crowds to date, and will conclude on 26th Nov with a sold-out show at London’s Scala. The band will also play alongside Humane The Moon at The Lexington the following day to cap off their trip.
