PISS
PISS share new single & video "blocking a scene you can't remember" taken from their debut album 'you made me / skin on linen' out Oct 30th on Sub Pop. November UK/EU shows announced.

Noisy, genre-bending band PISS have shared a new track and official video for “blocking a scene you can’t remember,” one of the standout tracks from their forthcoming debut album, 'you made me / skin on linen', which will be available on October 30th on LP/CD/DSPs worldwide from Sub Pop and in Canada from Paper Bag Records.
“blocking a scene you can’t remember” is a devastating, climactic slow-core song about sexual abuse and its lasting impacts. The lyrics take the form of a monologue read by a girl in her room, rehearsing a long-overdue confrontation with a man from her past. This official video was co-directed by PISS front-person Tay Zantingh & Nushi Sharma.
Following their recent European run, including a performance at End of the Road Festival which drew the largest audience of their career to date and left the crowd visibly moved, PISS will now embark on North American dates with Gilla Band before returning to Europe and the UK in November — dates below.
The Vancouver, B.C. band combines punk, poetry, sound collage, performance art, and visual art, creating a multidisciplinary body of work that blurs the line between personal and political. 'you made me / skin on linen', depicts a childhood shaped by structural, systemic, and intimate violence.
Throughout the record, art-making motifs serve as metaphors for the myriad ways we carry the effects of this violence: each experience leaves an impression, gradually creating or deforming the self, much like a piece of clay moulded by every mark it receives. The record resists simple conclusions; rather than offering a single perspective, it examines violence as a ubiquitous facet of our culture. It asks questions—how does violence impact our development? Are our wounds inextricable parts of us? And if not, then where do our wounds end and we begin?—and allows the listener to devise their own answers.
PISS is Taylor Zantingh (vocals), Tyler Paterson (guitar), Gavin Moya (bass), and Garreth Roberts (drums). The band recorded their debut album, 'you made me / skin on linen', in January 2025 with Colin Stewart at Hive Creative Labs.
you made me / skin on linen is now available to preorder from Sub Pop and Bandcamp. LP preorders from megamart.subpop.com in North America, Mega Mart Europe in the UK/EU, and your local record store will receive the album on Baby Pink vinyl, with a Baby Pink/Grey Blend available exclusively at their Bandcamp page and at the band's live show, while supplies last.
