Independent alternative singer-songwriter, l i l a shares new summer single & video, "Memory Hoarder" serving as an advance track from her upcoming autumn album Angels on My Mind.

l i l a has unveiled "Memory Hoarder," the second single from her debut album Angels on My Mind, set to be released this autumn.

l i l a’s artistic vision comes into sharper focus through instrumentation that is more organic, vibrant, and airy, creating an atmosphere of well-being and freedom perfect for summer road trips. The single serves as a nostalgic reflection on living in the past and holding on out of a fear of forgetting.

This song is all about keeping memories and making this video has given me the opportunity to share images I have been holding on to for three years now. I know they would someday become a music video for a "road trip song" I dreamed of composing.

"There is something both beautiful and unsettling about it, because we all do it in one way or another"

Navigating a soundscape that blends indie, pop, and dark elements, the Quebec City-based artist comes back with a track that is more vibrant, yet equally mesmerizing as "14," which was released last spring.

l i l a is an independent alternative singer-songwriter and producer based in Québec City, Canada. She crafts a deeply intimate aesthetic that she describes as "soft & slow sounds from somewhere between the sea and the sky".

She independently built her profile across four early Bandcamp releases including Songs From a Room (2018), Quiet as Fire (2018), and Recollection (2021).

Her live performances and recordings are defined by atmospheric, vulnerability-driven spaces filled with angel statuettes, twinkle lights, and dried flowers. She has performed at major Canadian music festivals like Festival d'été de Québec (FEQ) and POP Montréal. Her reputation in the indie scene grew after opening for prominent indie acts like Men I Trust and Helena Deland.
