Debbie Sings announces new EP "Oh No" & shares new single "Sucker Punch" out Feb 27th via Big Oil.

Today, Debbie Sings, Berlin-via-Copenhagen singer and producer, announces details of her upcoming EP Oh My, set for release on February 27th via BIG OIL Recordings. Alongside the announcement, Debbie shares the EP’s second hyperactive single, “Sucker Punch”.

The announcement of Oh My follows Debbie’s February 2025 debut album, Debbie’s Songs, which springboarded her musical career with its fearless mix of electronic, punk, country, and pop. The album went on to earn the number one spot on Soundvenue’s Danish Albums of the Year list, marking Debbie as one of the most exciting new voices to emerge from the Scandinavian underground.

Her early success has seen her earn a high-profile fan in Oklou, and has bought her chaotic, high-energy live show to eye-watering heights, most notably performing to a packed-out crowd at Roskilde Festival.

Debbie’s recent track and first single from Oh My, “Sunny Skies”, marked another breakthrough moment, earning her first editorial support from international media outlets. Since then, she has spent much of her time in Japan, working on a number of as-yet-unannounced collaborations.

“Sucker Punch” picks up where “Sunny Skies” left off, dialling up the intensity with distorted synths, punchy club drums, and Debbie’s rawest vocal delivery to date. Designed as much for bedroom dancing as for sweaty club floors.

Speaking on "Sucker Punch", Debbie says:

"Sucker Punch is a song about being sick of bullshit. It is about feeling like kicking some ass and eating everything on the menu.”

Oh My is a largely self-written, produced, and recorded project, created almost entirely by Debbie herself while moving between Copenhagen and Berlin. With the exception of “Sucker Punch”, which was co-produced with her friend The Bird, Debbie worked from bedrooms, borrowed studios, buses, and coffee shops, deliberately limiting her tools and relying primarily on Logic,

Nexus by reFX, distorted drums, and heavily processed vocals to create a cohesive, raw, and immediate sound. The result is an EP that embraces imperfection, urgency, and freedom, capturing chaos rather than polishing it away.

An alumna of Copenhagen’s Rhythmic Music Conservatory, Debbie joins a lineage of forward-thinking artists including Clarissa Connelly, ML Buch, Smerz, and Astrid Sonne. While Debbie’s Songs introduced her as a genre-hopping storyteller, Oh My sharpens the focus: more uniform, more electronic, more punk, and more unapologetically club-oriented. Inspired by early-2010s electroclash and artists like Peaches and Uffie, the EP leans into escapism, humour, and restless energy.

Speaking on the EP, Debbie says:

“Oh My is a reflection of a lot of internal and external chaos channelled into eight tracks. It’s electro-pop-punk music for the dance floor or the floor of your bedroom - made for getting lost, letting go, and carrying on.”

With Oh My, Debbie Sings positions herself as a boundary-less, DIY force in contemporary pop, an artist making music for fast bikes through the city, late-night clubs, and moments of invincibility that feel slightly delusional but deeply human. It’s a soundtrack for escape, community, and movement, wherever you choose to dance.
