Cowboy Hunters

Glasgow duo Cowboy Hunters to release new EP EPeepee, 20th March, They are sharing their new single "Have A Pint".

Cowboy Hunters today announce their forthcoming EP EPeepee, set for release on 20th March, alongside the new single, “Have A Pint”.

Capturing both the band’s fantastical cowboy-slaughter mythology and the more grounded reality of Glasgow’s drinking culture, “Have A Pint” serves as a sharp, immediate entry point into the world of Cowboy Hunters.

Sounding like a demonic fairground ride set loose in a pub, the track distils the band’s mix of catharsis and nihilism into three minutes of blunt release. Equal parts confrontational and communal. It’s not a call to arms or a manifesto: more a recognition of the wreckage, and an invitation to dance, shout, and scrap within it.

Based in Glasgow, Cowboy Hunters have steadily built a reputation as one of the UK’s most unpredictable and confrontational live acts. Sharing duties across drums, bass and vocals, the duo operate with a deliberately stripped-back setup that amplifies the physical impact of their shows, drawing equally from the raw intensity of punk and the communal release of rave culture. Crowds are rarely passive for long.

That same reputation earned them a slot supporting both Franz Ferdinand and English Teacher in 2025, with Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos calling them “the coolest band in Glasgow right now”. Kapranos’ praise was only further cemented last November, as one of punk’s most outspoken exports, Bob Vylan, had Cowboy Hunters warm up their crowd for their “We Won’t Go Quietly Tour”.

No cowboys are safe in 2026, as the band prepare to bring the show further onto the road, having been booked to support Sleaford Mods across their Irish tour (including a date at 3Arena), being among the first bands confirmed for this year’s 2000 Trees Festival, and with extensive live dates in the works. EPeepee follows a run of releases, including a recent cover of Princess Superstar and Mason’s cult club hit “Perfect (Exceeder)”, alongside the EP’s first single “Money For Drugs”. The new EP sees Cowboy Hunters continuing to refine their direct, unfiltered approach.

The announcement comes ahead of the band’s next headline performance on 6th February, when Cowboy Hunters will top the bill on the Friday night of Duck and Dive Festival at Signature Brew in Haggerston, London. In keeping with the spirit of the new single, the band have partnered with the brewery for a limited run of one-off Cowboy Hunters-branded beer, Chunters Cherry Brew, available exclusively on the night.

EPeepee is released on 20th March.
