Bloodworm

Bloodworm announce debut EP "Blood & Lust" on Your Childhood Records and share new single "Alone In Your Garden".

Nottingham's Bloodworm today share "Alone In Your Garden", and announce their debut EP, "Blood & Lust", to land April 24th on Your Childhood Records. It follows the warmly received "Bloodlust", a single that landed ahead of a sold-out tour with Suede. They also share news of a headline tour across the UK in April and May, with tickets on sale now.

Honing their craft across formative shows over the last eighteen months, the band have already been the subject of feverish word of mouth attention and amassed a significant fanbase at home, selling out The Bodega as headliners at Halloween, and at one of last year's earliest London shows, Richard Oakes of Suede happened to be in the audience by chance - so impressed was he by the young trio that they were offered them the chance to perform on the band's 17 date sold-out tour last month.

While the atmospheric "Bloodlust" is paired to a video by Seth Lloyd, offered a slice of ice-cool post-punk  and shimmering guitars bring to mind the likes of The Cure, The Sound and Echo & The Bunnymen, today's new single "Alone In Your Garden" lurks further into the shadows still, with the most gothic take on their sound yet. The single is paired to a video including footage from their hugely successful recent tour.

Of the new single, the band's frontman George Curtis says:

"This song was written during Autumn over a particularly cold couple of days. I was inspired by the very unique feeling of that time of year, the smell of the air, the falling leaves, the damp stillness that all feels so specifically English. I was trying to invoke those feelings within a song.

The song was an attempt at mixing old English folk, with all its folklore and emphasis on tales, with the gothic sound that I am drawn to."

The band will tour in support of their debut EP, performing on the following dates through the Spring.
