Avice Caro announces signing to Nice Swan Records & shares breathtaking new single 'At The End Of The Day (It's The End Of The Day).
London newcomer Avice Caro signs to revered indie label Nice Swan Records (English Teacher, Pip Blom, Sprints) and shares breathtaking new effort ‘At The End Of The Day (It’s The End Of The Day)’, out this week.
A solo, fairytale-folk multimedia project, inspired by literature, philosophies, folk-tales and dream sequences, Avice Caro stands out as a true beauty and craftswoman to her style of art, surrounded by an undeniably poetic and medieval aesthetic.
Now partnered with the cult label, the ethereal folkster (for fans of Lana del Rey) is set to unleash a slew of new material over the next twelve months, with a full live plot readied for the new year.
Speaking ahead of her single release, the songwriter explained:
“The song is about knowing what's best for you, but feeling compelled to make the choice that makes others more happy because it's easier than fighting for yourself. Of course, every time you make a decision that changes the course of your life you can't go back.
As time goes by life has this cruel way of showing you glimpses of the beautiful life you could've had, had you followed your heart instead. Sometimes you hope and pray you could just go back, but you can't.
It's loosely inspired by Jacques Demy's film "Les parapluies de Cherbourg", which explores this idea through a pair of star-crossed lovers.”
Avice Caro’s ‘At The End Of The Day (It’s The End Of The Day)’ is out now via Nice Swan Records and available on all digital platforms.
