Bringing the best and finest of the international alternative scene, the festival is now an unavoidable for every music lover during
For this year, the incredibly line-up is well-balanced between indie rock and electro, emerging artists and bands with awaited new
releases, but still with the cream of the cream of actual music scene.
For the first time this year, the Pitchfork Avant-Garde will take place on the 25th and 26th of October,
showing us the best of tomorrow’s talents.

But the main event, in Grande Halle de La Villette, on 27th, 28th and 29th of October, will feature the headliners of the festival.
On Thursday, you’ll discover Nick Murphy. You don’t know him ? Of course you do, it’s the new name of Chet Faker.
His new single is out, and it’s a beautiful masterpiece. You’ll look forward to see his new live show.
The legendary guarantee of the festival will carry the name of DJ Shadow. The incredible DJ and beat-digger will present in Paris his new show, supporting his new album The Mountain Will Fall. But on the 27th of October, it’s the ground which is going to fall under the dance steps of the audience.
If you want a rock’n’roll deflagration, you can trust Suuns. The Canadian rock band will laugh their loud rock songs on Paris during one of their rare but incredible apparences, always acclaimed by the public and the critics. Be ready.
But this night will also feature the aerial electro of Floating Points, in live ladies and gentlemen, the punk rock of Parquet Courts and the british dance band Mount Kimbie.
For the second night, Pitchfork is not running out of surprises because Moderat will be the headliner.

Explosions In The Sky will also be there, creating their deep and dark atmospheres with guitar blankets and long notes.
They will perform their brand new album The Wilderness, such as some of their old but tasty songs, for sure.
The trip will be great.
Bat For Lashes will take you to her dreamy land mixed with dream pop and lyric folk. Like a bridge over the old and the new, Natasha Khan
is using acoustic instrument and electronic incursions to create a unique sound. Like a dream wide awake.
Bat For Lashes
Todd Terje & The Olsens
Brandt Brauer Frick
And it’s not over ! You’ll dance with the crazy electro-disco of Todd Terje & The Olsens, sing in french with the new french electro-singer
(yes it is) Flavien Berger, or be amazed by Brandt Brauer Frick, a german band who is playing techno with classical instruments.
The 3rd night will be extended until 6 PM to let us the time to dance until our foot die. And to help us in this adventure, we can count on Daphni, the dance floor part of Caribou, who is going to show us what is IDM - Intelligent Dance Music.
Motor City Drum Ensemble
If you still want to dance, don’t worry, Motor City Drum Ensemble will also be here to make your body move, by spreading an incredibly funky house music, taking inspiration from jazz, soul and industrial atmosphere. The best gas-oil to stay awake all night long.
But if you have a preference for rock music, don’t worry, you won’t get lost : the four girls from Warpaint will make the guitars scream and will present their brand new album, Heads Up, released in late September.
You want some rock again? Pitchfork will also give you the best equation of the moment:

When violins meets guitars.
Not to forget the world-hip-hop-electro of M.I.A., the arabic-acid-house of Acid Arab or the techno-house of
Tale Of Us.
One thing is sure: you won’t get bored.
