My Expansive Awareness
Zaragoza based band My Expansive Awareness are back with their new LP titled 'Going Nowhere'.
With this album the band shows a greater solidity and maturity in its compositions, moving by bordering fields between garage-psych and space rock but approaching to new genres like folk, country and even reggae...crazy!
"Going Nowhere" is the title of their new album that is published today, as they describe:
" Is musical path in which you have to lose yourself to find yourself back again, a sonorous path oriented to the expansion. An introspective and reverberated journey in search of an identity. The road that leads nowhere but can lead to anywhere."
Swimming through new sounds, neopsych, garage-psych and space rock but approaching new genres next to folk, country or reggae and starting from these sounds, the band manages to settle down and generate their own personality.
Their lyrics and atmospheres navigates the band's usual imagery, proposing an optimistic view of existence, but erected on the assimilation and overcoming of the pessimism
proper to contemporary society.
The darkness and the light melt together in this album becoming indissoluble and in which they submerge in search of the connection with the cosmos.
With three years of experience and after a busy 2016 in which they played on festivals like Primavera Sound, Milhoes de Festa, SOS 4.8 or Monkey Week; And in which they have become part of the roster of Jägermusic, the release of 'Going Nowhere' will be the fourth record reference in three years, edited by Analog Love Records on 12 "vinyl and CD.
The album has been recorded in the Laboratorio Audiovisual de Zaragoza, mixed in Estudios Circo Perrotti by the hand of Jorge Explosion and Vacuum Mastering. In addition,
the collaboration of the artist Kim Fasticks in two of the songs of the album.
