Releases remix of Ta Min Hand by Kaah
Studio Barnhus artist Harald Björk reworks Swedish Soul/Funk legend Kaah on a remix of the recently released album single "Ta min Hand". Björk first heard the voice of Swedish soul king Kaah featured in the track “Du vet att jag gråter” in the very start of the Swedish hip hopboom in the late 90’s. It was something like a male take on the Swedish Jazz wonder Monica Zetterlund in an “East coast rapper feat. D’Angelo” kind of context, sensitive, melancholicand mind blowing, Harald recalls. Over the years Kaah has gotten a well-deserved iconic status in the up north soul/funk scene with a plethora of modern classics spread over a handfull of sporadic album releases.
Speaking about his work, Harald Björk says:
“It was a tough challenge, to work with the voice and words of an idol you have had in your head and heart since your early teenage years, but on the other hand an opportunity I couldn’t reject”.
